I have to admit, I really liked Reagan, even though he was a republican. :) D

Have you read When Character Was King by Peggy Noonan? It is a really good book about Ronald Reagan. I highly recommend it.

shayna- personally, I think we live in The Matrix.

shamrock- so long as the movie has Japanese people running around speaking with dubbed-over English.

felinefrisky- it's okay to like a conservative. once a year, I have my own little "hug-a-liberal" day too. hmmm... it's coming up soon, need a hug? :P
welcome to my little corner of the internet, and i think your handle sounds familiar... WA perhaps?

angelinmi- no, but i peruse it every time i go to Barnes and Noble. I should go ahead and buy it. right now, i'm trying to line up some fluff reading- fiction. got any suggestions?

Politics are very much like war. We may even have to use poison gas at times.
    **** Winston Churchill

    The man was brilliant.

A fluff fiction that I recommend is Coming Home by Rosemunde Pilcher. The author is from Scotland and the novel takes place primarily in Cornwall.

MIZ B- this blog is due for a rant soon. it's been a while, so feel free. next quote i'll try a little harder to be more provocative ;)

Emm- I don't know if I'd be caught dead around here reading Ronnie's love letters, but I'm sure if I were a civilian I'd thoroughly enjoy them.

    shamrock- help me Tom Cruise!

airforcewife- your quotes always outdo mine... I'll get you next time. Winston Churchill and TR are my two favorite quotable fellas.

angelinmi- I was thinking something more along the lines of Gates of Fire, or LOTR, or some other epic story where the good guys fight the bad guys. yeah, i'm a neanderthal when it comes to fiction.

emm- considering Dumas wrote my all time favorite, The Count of Monte Cristo, i will very likely enjoy your rec. i guess that settles it then.

The Reagan image...my mother has this shirt...in red...and in triplicate. She wears it often. She's gone a bit loopy over Knute Rockne in her later years, bless her.
