    But once you surrender, it gets so much easier to do so again the next time...

    I once pointed out to my Dad that so many in HIS generation (and he never likes it when I point out he's getting to be an old fart) are so quick to give up because it's what they've been doing since Vietnam (he likes to say, "When I left the 'Nam, we were winning!).

    He was very irritated at it, but with a big ol' list that included Iran '79, Beirut, and many others he didn't argue it.
